Milan continue Mexes interest

If Philippe Mexes is unable to agree a new deal with Roma, Serie A rivals Milan have moved once again to reiterate their interest in the player.
The French international’s contract with the Romans expires in the summer and neither party has given any indication that a renewal is on the horizon.
Mexes has been linked with a move to Milan since the beginning of the current campaign and there were rumours in January that the league leaders had agreed terms with the central defender, claims that the red and blacks have since denied.
However, the club’s vice-president Adriano Galliani has confirmed that the Rossoneri are interested in taking Mexes to the San Siro on a free transfer.
“If Mexes does not renew his contract with Roma, we are interested in the player,” Galliani told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 28-year-old, who joined Roma from Auxerre in 2004, is seen as a potential replacement for Alessandro Nesta, who contract also concludes at the end of the season. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
