Milan in search for January striker

The Corriere dello Sport understands that Milan will now almost certainly dip into the January transfer market to find a new striker.
Having earlier stated that the club would not be looking to reinforce in the New Year, Vice President Adriano Galliani will look for cover in the wake of Filippo Inzaghi’s season ending injury and Alexandre Pato’s continued fight against muscle problems. The sport’s daily reports that three men figure on the Rossoneri wanted list. Firstly there is Cagliari striker Alessandro Matri, who is rumoured to be the man coach Massimiliano Allegri would like to bring to Milanello.
The two have already worked together in Sardinia for two years during Allegri’s time as coach there. Torino hit man Rolando Bianchi is another name being linked to the current league leaders but it seems the Turin club would be reluctant to hand over their man until at least the end of the season. Lastly, there is Mario Balotelli, seen dining with Galliani after last Sunday’s derby game. The current Manchester City striker is a Milan fan but a January switch seems very unlikely.
