Milan linked with Benfica and Lille defenders

Despite several new signings in the summer, it seems Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is looking to strengthen his back-line yet again according to reports in Corriere Dello Sport.
Mario Yepes and Sokratis Papastathopoulos seem to have fallen short of the required standard at Milanello so Allegri is looking to Portugal and France for an alternative.
Benfica defender David Luiz has been strongly linked with the Rossoneri and looks to be at the top of the coach’s shopping list. Luiz has been included in the Brazilian squad under new coach Mario Menezes specifically to play alongside Milan defender Thiago Silva. One stumbling block could be that Benfica are unwilling to sell before next summer.
Lille defender Adil Rami is another player to impress Allegri. The 24-year-old is under contract until 2012 and the French club value him at around seven million pounds. It seems Milan are only willing to offer around five million to get their man. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
