Milan may look towards Ajax youngster

Serie A leaders AC Milan are ready to launch a bid for highly rated Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen, according to a report in Algemeen Dagblad.
The 18-year-old joined the Dutch giants from Odense in 2008, but didn’t make his debut for the club until a year ago. Since then, Eriksen has gone onto become a regular in the Ajax starting line-up.
The young Dane has previously been linked with a switch to English Premier League with Arsenal, but stories have surfaced both in Holland and Denmark that Milan are now in pole position for Erikson’s services.
Milan are yet to make contact with the Amsterdam based club, but the reports suggest that Ajax won’t part with their asset unless at least a hefty €11 million have been put down on the table.
The attacking midfielder has three years remaining on his current deal, tying him to the Amsterdam ArenA until 2014. And Ajax are not keen on letting the youngster depart during the next two transfer windows.
Eriksen made his international debut in March 2010 against Austria and has since gone on to make nine appearances for his country.
