Milan ready Cassano offer

Milan are readying a high-profile offer to sign Antonio Cassano in the January transfer window, after Sampdoria were denied permission to sack him.
Sampdoria took Cassano to court because they wanted to terminate his contract after he had an expolosive argument with president Riccardo Garrone. On Thursday afternoon, the league’s arbitration panel ruled that Cassano’s contract with Sampdoria would remain intact, although he would be suspended until February 1st and his wages would be halved.
Sampdoria are ready to sell him as a result of the ruling, and Milan have emerged as the likeliest team to pounce. Inter, Juventus and a host of other Serie A clubs have already denied interest, but it seems that Milan have already held constructive talks regarding a transfer.
Real Madrid, Cassano’s former club, are entitled to €5 million if he is sold on, which the Rossoneri would have to pay. But it seems that Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has already negotiated with Sampdoria about the 28-year-old striker.
Any possible move to the red half of Milan would depend on Ronaldinho. The Brazilian’s contract expires in the summer and he is rumoured to be leaving Milan during January, which would free up funds to bring Cassano to the club.
The Italy international is expected to wrap up a move to Milan in the next few days, although Galliani has remained coy. He said: “I would not advise people to bet only on Cassano, as there are many very important players who could move in January, including overseas and across the English Channel.”
“We are looking for a technically gifted player and Cassano fits that bill, but he is not the only one. Let us leave Cassano alone. He is a Samp player, while Ronaldinho is part of the Milan squad and will stay here.”

Despite his protestations, it seems increasinly likely that Ronaldinho will return home to a Brazilian club, and his place in the Milan squad will be taken by the controversial hothead Cassano. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
