Milan sign Spanish defender

Milan have completed their fourth signing o f the January transfer window with the capture of Espanyol full-back Didac Vila.
The Rossoneri have spent most of January hunting for a new left-back and have now signed the 21-year-old to fill this role. The transfer fee is undisclosed but Milan are believed to have paid €4 million for his services.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said: “We’d been tracking this player for some time and got a tip from our talent scout Andrea Valdinoci in August, when I was in Barcelona for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“I met the Espanyol directors and they spoke very highly of him. He will be available for coach Massimiliano Allegri for the game with Lazio (on 1st February).”

Vila added: “I am very happy to be here and ready for the challenges that await me. I hope the fans will grow to love me the same way the Espanyol supporters did.
“I am a left-back, but feel able to play both in a defensive and offensive role. I think that I have joined the best club in Europe and the side with the most trophies in the world.”
