Milito delighted to be back among the goals

Diego Milito played the forward’s role to perfection for Inter by setting up two goals and scoring one himself to seal Inter’s comfortable 3-0 win against Seongnam Ilhwa and ensure the Nerazzurr’s progression to the final of the FIFA Club World Cup.
‘Il Principe’ was delighted with his own strike which was his first goal since early November and it also marked his return to the team after missing out on the best part of the last month.
“I’m glad to be back in the team and doing my bit: first with the assists and then with my goal. I’ve worked hard to get over my injury. Of course I’m not up to full match fitness yet, but I’m hungry and my head is pushing my legs on.”
Milito’s return to the squad also saw the likes of Julio Cesar and Cristian Chivu make their comebacks. Inter have almost recovered all their injured players after the squad had been plagued with fitness problems recently.
“When we’re all fit and on form again we’ll get back to playing the way our fans want to see us play all the time. I’m really pleased with tonight’s win because the Club World Cup is extremely important to all of us.”
Inter’s victory over the South Koreans means that they now face surprise finalists TP Mazembe who have already shocked Pachuca of Mexico and Internacional of Brazil on their way to the summit.
“If they’ve come this far, it means they are capable and determined. We’ve already seen that they are a tough side but we are calm, concentrated and confident”, were Milito’s closing words. The final will be played this Saturday. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
