Milito “I would give anything for Inter to win”

Diego Milito is determined to see Inter taste success in the Club World Cup at Abu Dhabi and is also glad with his own return to full fitness. The Argentine has been sidelined for lengthy periods in the past two months but is almost completely recovered ahead of the Nerazzurri’s semi-final clash tomorrow.
“I’m well; I have been training in the group for over a week. I am happy; we are prepared and are very eager to do well in tomorrow’s game. This is a unique competition for all of us. We don’t know if we’ll ever play in it again in our careers.”
Milito had been decisive for Inter in all their major games last season by scoring in the Coppa Italia final, the final league game against Siena as well as in the Champions League final. But he admits that the team’s success comes before his own.
“I would give anything to win, but it is not important that I score. If I ‘have to’ score that is better, but what I really want is win and that is the only thing that matters. We will try and enjoy it and reach a valuable objective, which is very important to us.”
There seems to be a renewed spirit among the Inter players as they have been seen enjoying themselves in the training sessions at Abu Dhabi and the group seems more united. The Argentine striker feels that this is down to the team’s recovery from the physical point of view.
“So many of us have come back from injuries and the group is once again all working together. The spirit has always been there even in the difficult moments, of course now that we are almost all available there is undoubtedly a happier and more relaxed atmosphere.”
Inter will face Seongnam Ilhwa of South Korea in their semi-final clash tomorrow evening. The other semi-final sees Mazembe of DR Congo go up against Brazilian Internacional. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
