Milito staying put at Inter

The Nerazzurri’s hit marksman Diego Milito had been linked with a return to Genoa earlier this week. This rumour was quashed yesterday as his agent spoke out about the Argentine’s desire to stay playing football at the Giuseppe Meazza.
Fernando Hidalgo told Calciomercatonews.com: “Diego is feeling better and he is ready. His objective is to play against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. A return to Genoa? He has a contract with Inter and he is fine in Milan.”
Milito has been unable to find his superb form the 2009/10 season due to a number of injuries. This has lead to Inter being forced into the transfer market and resulted in the January purchase of Giampaolo Pazzini from Sampdoria.
Milito is not threatened by this arrival as Hidalgo explained: “Pazzini’s arrival is not a problem. Diego is a professional, he is serious, and he is very well at Inter.”
Milito was key in Inter’s treble winning side last season scoring crucial goals. The Argentine scored the winner on the last day of the season at Siena to clinch the title, he also scored the winner in the Coppa Italia final and two goals in the Champions League Final against Bayern Munich.
