Milito to miss Inter-Bayern Champions League game

Inter Milan’s preparations for their second round Champions League tie with Bayern Munich have been rocked with the news that striker Diego Milito will be missing with a hamstring injury.
The Argentine centre forward was instrumental in Inter’s success in Europe’s top competition last season, with his contribution including two goals in the final against Bayern. However, when the two sides meet again later this month, Milito will be absent.
The former Genoa striker has been hampered with a hamstring problem for a number of months, with the latest twinge coming during the weekend’s 5-3 victory over AS Roma.
Early indications suggest Milito will be out of action for a month, leading many to conclude that coach Leonardo will cash in on the player.
The Brazilian has moved quickly to reassure 31-year-old that he still remains firmly in his plans, while also admitting that his unavailability is a big loss for Inter.
“Diego mustn’t worry about what has happened,” said the coach. “He doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone.
“He knows how important he is for Inter. All he has to do is relax and concentrate on making a good recovery.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
