Montolivo: ‘No contact with other clubs’

Riccardo Montolivo appears to still be some distance from securing a move away from Fiorentina, according to Tuttomercatoweb. The Italian international midfielder has refused to extend his Viola contract, which runs out at the end of the upcoming season.
After heavy links with Juventus, Inter and Milan, where a swap deal involving Antonio Cassano moving to Florence was mooted in the media, Montolivo told journalists there has been no contact with other clubs at this point.
“I have not had any contact with other clubs, but I have had the chance to speak with somebody from Fiorentina,” he said as he departed from his pre-season medical examination.
The Stadio Artemio Franchi outfit do not want to lose their captain on a free transfer next season and are hoping to sell him in the current transfer window. He featured on 29 occasions for Sinisa Mihajlovic last season, scoring twice. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
