Moratti confident after Inter complete Zarate signing

Inter have completed the signing of Lazio forward Mauro Zarate, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.
Before yesterday, Genoa attacker Rodrigo Palacio seemed to be in pole position to move to the Nerazzurri, however the deal broke down when a move for Genoa’s target, Milan striker Stephan El Shaarawy, was ruled out by the Milanese.
The next in the line for Moratti’s men was Zarate, and an initial 2.7m Euro one year loan deal was agreed, with the option to purchase the player at the end of the deal for 15.5m Euros over three years. The player will also earn around 3m Euros per year, plus assist and goal bonuses, in what should be a four year contract.
Zarate, 24, was delighted with the move: I’m very happy to have come here, I want to do well here. Inter were my first choice, we worked towards this and now I have to show that i’m worth it”.
Zarate joins just days after Diego Forlan completed his move from Athletico Madrid, and President Massimo Moratti is confident going into the new season. “It’s an extremely strong Inter, full of alternative styles. Zarate is a great guy, happy to be here…Now it’s over to Gasperini, who has full freedoms. I was optimistic before, but now I am much more” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
