Moratti happy with Leonardo debut

Massimo Moratti was quite pleased as his decision to bring in Leonardo seems to have been justified following Inter’s impressive 3-1 victory over Napoli last night.
The Nerazzurri produced a dominant display as a Thiago Motta brace and a Esteban Cambiasso header helped secure victory on debut for their Brazilian Coach.
“It was good, very good, but I’m not going to start giving marks. It went very well and I could sense the right mood building up within the camp before the game”, started off Moratti.
This was Inter’s first competitive game since Rafa Benitez’s dismissal in the aftermath of the FIFA Club World Cup victory, and Moratti felt the team’s attitude was an important factor.
“The atmosphere in training and outside training naturally carried over into the game and it was reflected in the result. The team had the right approach to the game and dealt with it well. I’m happy that the whole team is close to Leonardo. It’s one of those factors that help you win.”
Moratti however, was in no mood to get carried away with just one result and said that the team would have to be on its guard in the coming games too if they were to get back in contention for the Scudetto.
“We have had a lot of injuries so it’s difficult to judge the team’s physical condition, but the psychological side plays a part, of course Against Catania we know we face a tough game, but this whole league is tough.”
Inter will travel to Catania to take on the Elefanti this Sunday in an afternoon kick-off. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
