Moratti: Inter Eto’o dependent – Why not?

Inter President Massimo Moratti believes there is nothing wrong in his team’s over reliance on Samuel Eto’o this term. The Cameroonian scored the only goal of the game in the Nerazzurri’s slim victory over Cagliari on Sunday. In an interview with reporters outside the Saras offices, Moratti claimed: “When we were called Ibra-dependent, we won two championships. So I am not sorry for anything”.
The Nerazzurri President also appreciated his team’s performance in the new midday kickoff on Sunday: “I think its a kick-off time that can create problems but luckily there weren’t any difficulties yesterday. I saw Inter play well, with the determination and character needed to win this game”.
Inter who now share second spot in the standings with cross-town rivals Milan have been linked with an ambitious move for Barcelona’s Lionel Messi in recent weeks following comments by Moratti. However, the Nerazzurri patron quickly quashed all such notions: “You journalists try to emphasize this joke to give new motivation. Messi is a player every team wants, but it will be very difficult to get him”.
