Moratti: “Internacional defeat a lesson for us”

Inter President Massimo Moratti arrived in Abu Dhabi for the Club World Cup on Wednesday morning and expressed his surprise at Brazilian Internacional’s defeat to African Champions TP Mazembe.
The Nerazzurri patron believes that the shock result should put the club on guard when they take on Seongnam Ilhwa of South Korea in the second semi-final later today.
“I was surprised yesterday evening by Mazembe’s win over Internacional. I am sorry for the Brazilians who are always enthusiastic towards these type of events.”
“Now it is our turn, it will be an equally tough game against the South Koreans. We will face it with the utmost seriousness; yesterday evening’s lessons can be useful to us.”

Moratti also felt that Mazembe’s win was an important event for the growth of football and its development across the world. The side from DR Congo have won the CAF Champions League for the previous two years.
“It was a real expression of vitality, liveliness, and it is a good example of football, of its importance in every part of the world and how great it is for contributing to the growth of certain countries.”
The Inter squad has been decimated by injuries for much of this season, but almost all players are now back to full fitness and this has affected team spirit which seems to be very high at the moment.
“The confidence is relative to the memories; it has been six months since we saw the full team playing. It is true that the players have recovered faster here in the warm temperatures, and we will ask if we can continue playing here for the rest of the year…”
When asked what kind of message the Inter President would like to give to his players and his Coach before the game, Moratti gave a smiling short and to the point reply: “I’ll ask them to win.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
