Mourinho wins Panchina d’Oro

Jose Mourinho has triumphed in the Panchina d’Oro award for the best Coach during Serie A season 2009/10.
The former Inter tactician led his side to the Serie A, Coppa Italia and UEFA Champions League treble last season, the first Italian side to do so. After missing out on the award last season to then Cagliari Coach Max Allegri, the Special One’s achievements with Inter meant he was hot favourite for this award.
Tuttomercatoweb.com notes the Portuguese beat Walter Mazzari, Luigi Delneri and Claudio Ranieri for the prize.
The winner of the Panchina d’Argento for best Coach in Serie B went to Pierpaolo Bisoli, who led Cesena to an unprecedented promotion from the Cadetti last season, the Club’s second straight promotion. He subsequently left for Cagliari but has since been replaced by Roberto Donadoni.
