Muntari on the verge of joining Sunderland

Inter midfielder Sulley Muntari is very close to joining Sunderland according to his agent. The Ghanian midfielder has been given the green light to leave and it seems he will join the Black Cats soon.
Muntari has hardly featured for the Nerazzurri this term making a solitary start all campaign and walked off angrily when he was substituted against Genoa two weeks ago in one of his rare appearances.
This led to Coach Leonardo asking the Ghanian to consider his options and the club hierarchy subsequently has allowed Muntari to seek new pastures as he is desperate for more first-team football.
His agent Fabien Piveteau has revealed to The Sun that Muntari is now on the verge of joining his international team-mates John Mensah and Asamoah Gyan at Sunderland.
“If everything is sorted out with Sunderland he will be going there. The other Ghana players at Sunderland – Asamoah Gyan and John Mensah – have told him about the club which has obviously played a part.”
Muntari had earlier been linked with a move to Tottenham as he had excelled with Harry Redknapp at Portsmouth which eventually led to his move to Inter in 2008 for a fee of £12 million.
His likely to join the Black Cats on loan till the end of the season as Inter are reportedly seeking at least £5 million for his services, a fee that Sunderland are unwilling to pay for upfront. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
