Muntari rules out Sunderland and puts Spurs on alert

English Premier League club Sunderland’s hopes of adding Sulley Muntari to their squad on a loan basis look to be over.
The Inter Milan midfielder has struggled to hold down a first team place this season and Black Cats manager Steve Bruce was keen to hand the Ghanaian a route out of the San Siro.
However, Bruce’s chances of capturing Muntari during this transfer window looked to have diminished with the former Portsmouth man opting against a move to the Stadium of Light.
Speaking to an assortment of Italian media, Muntari said: “If I have to leave Inter Milan, I’ll go to London. That is the only possibility.”
Such news may alert Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp who has been continually linked with a player that was under his guidance for a time at Portsmouth.
The 26-year-old was brought to the San Siro by Jose Mourinho in 2008, but since the Portuguese coach’s departure to Real Madrid, Muntari has failed to impress both Rafael Benitez and Leonardo.
Inter are thought to be willing to let Muntari go this month, but only at the right price. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
