Muslera’s Lazio future in doubt

Lazio goalkeeper Fernando Muslera has cast doubt over his future in the capital as contract talks with the Biancocelesti seem to have broken down.
Reports in the Gazzetta dello Sport have indicated that the 24-year-old Uruguayan shot stopper, currently on international duty in China, has left his country’s training base to try to sort out the problems with his agent.
With his club top of Serie A, it was thought that Muslera was about to put pen to paper on a new deal but it seems as though there has been a breakdown in talks between his agent and Lazio president Claudio Lotito. The outstanding young goalkeeper expressed his concerns by stating that : “since last June my agent has been trying to secure a new deal for me. 14 times he has come to the capital to meet with the president and we still do not have a satisfactory agreement in place”.
