Mutu explains waiter incident

The lawyers of Adrian Mutu have spoken about the Fiorentina striker’s latest controversial incident, where he punched a waiter in a restaurant.
Mutu was involved in the fracas at 5am on Friday night, and allegedly broke the waiter’s nose due to a disagreement about the bill for his meal. But the lawyers of the Romanian, who has regularly attracted negative publicity, have defended him.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Mutu’s representatives Nino D’Avirro and Michele Ducci said: “Mutu reacted to a series of repeated and serious racist insults and the threat that he would end up like the Romanian nurse who was killed by a punch in the Rome metro.”
Mutu is currently coming to the end of a suspension for failing a drugs test, and was previously sacked by Chelsea for testing positive for cocaine. His return will be a boost to the struggling Fiorentina. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
