Mutu linked with shock Juventus return

Juventus are reportedly interested in bringing Adrian Mutu back to the club after the controversial striker burnt his bridges with Fiorentina earlier in the week.
Mutu walked out of training, prompting the club to plan to sue him. Although the argument continues to rage on about the reasons behind Mutu’s actions, what is clear is that his time in Florence is at an end.
Juventus were in the market for reinforcements up-front, and despite already bringing Luca Toni to the club they have been linked with a shock swoop for Mutu.
The Romanian previously spent 18 months with the Bianconeri between January 2005 and June 2006 after being sacked from Chelsea for failing a drugs tests.
It is expected that the 29-year-old will be taken to court by his club in a similar way to Antonio Cassano’s tribunal with Sampdoria. If Fiorentina are granted permission to terminate Mutu’s contract, Juventus could be in pole position to bring him back for a second stint in Turin.
