Napoli say Cavani will stay put

Edinson Cavani is being watched by many of Europe’s elite clubs and it is largely expected that a bid will be tabled for him before the summer is out. Napoli have now moved to deter this by putting a valuation of €100 million on his head.
Partenopei President Aurelio De Laurentiis told the Corriere dello Sport that he would have to be crazy to sell the Uruguayan star or would have to be offered an enormous sum of money to let him go.
“I should have my license as president of Napoli taken away if I sell Cavan,i unless it is for 100 million euros. He recently signed a contract extension and I have given him a good deal, which he merits.”
Cavani’s form last season was impeccable and his 26 goals in 35 games saw him propel Napoli into the Champions League. The Uruguayan moved to Napoli at the beginning of last season from rivals Palermo and his has shone.
Now President De Laurentis wants to make sure that his player honours his contract which runs out in 2016 and help the Neapolitans in their quest for next seasons Scudetto.
Cavani finished second in the scoring charts last season with only Antonio Di Natale finishing ahead of him. It would seem that if this vein of form had seen interest rise in him then the inflated price tag would have done much to cool interest, even in today’s market. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
