Nesta could retire at the end of the season

Corriere dello Sport has suggested that Milan’s veteran defender Alessandro Nesta could retire at the end of the season.
The 34-year-old is still very much part of Milan’s first-team, although his contract expires at the end of the season. The club have yet to offer him an extension, and it is seemingly increasingly likely that this will be Nesta’s last season at the San Siro.
The former Italian international has had countless injury problems with his knees in recent years, leading many to believe that Milan will let him leave in June and replace him with a younger centre-back.
There was talk that hometown club Lazio could be interested in re-signing him, but the capital club denied any interest in their former player. It seems as a result, Nesta will hang up his boots in the summer unless the Rossoneri choose to keep him on for another season. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
