Night of violence overshadows Napoli v Liverpool fixture

Italian football once again has the spotlight on it for all the wrong reasons after a night of unrest in Naples ahead of their big Europa League clash against Liverpool. Tuttosport reports that three Liverpool supporters have been taken to hospital with knife wounds after disturbances in the city centre. Two of the three taken to city’s Loreto Mare hospital were involved in incidents on the corso Umberto, which runs straight through the heart of the city.
A third man was confronted by local fans on via Mezzocannone and was reportedly stabbed in the right thigh. It seems all three victims will remain in hospital for around ten days. In a separate incident on the same street, Liverpool fans dining in one of the local restaurants were bombarded with stones and bottles. It is reported that a tourist inside the establishment was injured but no further details have been released. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
