No need for Inter panic says Leonardo

Inter suffered a set back in their title challenge by falling to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Juventus. Leonardo believes that this is not a sign to panic and that his team just struggled to create chances.
Speaking in his post match press conference the Inter Coach noted that “We struggled to create chances in the first half. Juve played very well, remained united and it was difficult to break through their lines. After the break we did much better and spent the entire time pushing forward, but Juve defended firmly and tried to make themselves dangerous on the counter.”
The Nerazzurri did not look like their usual selves and their in form striker Samuel Eto’o looked sluggish as well as being guilty of possibly the miss of the season. Leonardo defended his front man by stating that “Eto’o wasn’t the problem, as in general we passed the ball around too slowly, so the forwards didn’t have much support. I expected Juventus to do this well, as you could see they were improving.”
Inter have now drifted eight points behind Milan with a game in hand that will be played on Wednesday night against Fiorentina. Leonardo was upbeat about his teams title credentials saying that “I honestly think this changes nothing. Just look at the results of recent weeks. We are a squad who fight hard and on Wednesday have another opportunity against Fiorentina. I saw a positive performance, especially in the second half, and am fairly satisfied. We lacked sharpness in general and did not start at our usual tempo.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
