No Roma offer yet for Stekelenburg

Dutch international goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg has been linked with a possible move to Roma in recent weeks. Ajax however, have confirmed that they are yet to receive a formal offer for the 28-year old.
Stekelenburg has had an illustrious career at Ajax appearing 191 times for the club since 2002. The 6′ 5″ goalkeeper has decided that it is time to look for pastures new with the Giallorossi seemingly being the preferred destination.
There has still been no formal offer made as sporting director Danny Blind told “I don’t know if Roma are close to him, all I know is that nobody from Roma has contacted us. Perhaps they have spoken to his agent, but certainly not with us.”
Stekelenburg is reported to be valued at 8 million Euros but this was not confirmed by Blind: “I won’t talk about transfer fees with the media. Even if his contract does expire in 2012, he remains a very strong goalkeeper who is of interest to a number of clubs.”
Roma are largely expected to purchase a goalkeeper after continuing to struggle to find a reliable custodian in recent seasons. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
