Palermo: Pastore not for sale despite Napoli interest

Palermo Sporting Director Walter Sabatini has insisted that the club’s prized asset Javier Pastore will not be sold at the end of the season, amid alleged interest from Napoli.
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis had called Pastore a “true genius”, causing rumours that he would bid for the Argentine playmaker. However, Sabatini has reassured Rosanero fans that Pastore is not leaving for their Serie A rivals.
“It is pleasing to hear the words of De Laurentiis in relation to Pastore,” he said. “However, I don’t think he has a desire to bring him to Napoli. That is also because Pastore is not for sale as he is a future investment for our club.”
Napoli signed Edinson Cavani from Palermo this summer in a big-money transfer, leading to the speculation that Pastore could follow suit. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
