Pastore can leave Palermo at the right price

Palermo’s straight-talking President, Maurizio Zamparini, has told Corriere dello Sport that Javier Pastore may leave in the summer for the right price.
“We’ve had enquiries from Madrid and Barcelona” said Zamparini, “But we do not need to sell our best players. Of course I’d like to keep him, but if a substantial offer comes in, who knows?
“Pastore has plenty of room to improve. He had a great first half to the season, but then suffered physically because of the number of games. He is a smart guy, but we cannot force the team’s performance on his shoulders.”

Palermo travel to Roma this weekend, with Tom DiBenedetto set to complete his ownership of the Giallorossi within the next few days. Asked about the imminent takeover, Zamparini said: “I’ve never had anything against Roma. I wish DiBenedetto only good luck.”
