Pastore hopeful of Palermo revival

Palermo’s dynamic Argentine Javier Pastore is hopeful the side can regain the form it showed in 2010 when Palermo was narrowly denied a Champions League berth by Sampdoria.
“We are hopeful we can quickly return to the point we were at,” said the playmaker, speaking to Sky Sport 24.
A horror run of form saw the demise of Delio Rossi, who was sacked after the 0-7 thrashing at the hands of Udinese. The new man in charge is ex-Perugia boss Serse Cosmi, but there has not been a reversal in fortunes, with Palermo losing 0-2 against Lazio and 0-1 at Genoa.
Pastore believes the main variation between this season and last is the team’s home form: “We play in a different way in respect to last season. The big difference is we hardly lost at home, whereas this season it has happened too many times.”
Palermo will look to get its season back on track when it hosts leaders Milan this Saturday night. Pastore is wary of the rossoneri, and of Alexandre Pato:
“They are very strong and have great champions who are known throughout the world. We must be at our best to win. Pato is a player I admire greatly; he is my age and can go on to become of the best players in the world. I remember with pleasure my first match against Milan. It was a victory at the [Stadio Renzo] Barbera.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
