After Inter’s pre-season friendly win against Cremonese yesterday Giampaolo Pazzini and Dejan Stankovic both spoke excitedly about Inter’s progress and the influence of Giampaolo Gasperini.
Speaking on the Inter Channel, Pazzini was enthusiastic about the influence of the new Coach and also expressed his happiness at how his first pre-season with Inter had turned our so far.
“Today was great practice. We were a bit sluggish and we had to work hard but it was a good test for us. Things are looking good. We’re on track. Gasperini is very charismatic and very determined; a pleasant surprise.”
Dejan Stankovic echoed Pazzini’s comments in that Inter had been sluggish but were getting better all the time:
“It’s right that we should have to sweat it out a bit in this period. We’re doing well and getting better from game to game. There’s still a long way to go but we’re working to get our movements like clockwork.
“Sunday’s match against Galatasaray will be a tough one: the opposition is getting more and more difficult so we should arrive in Beijing in peak condition. I had a little niggle in my knee, probably due to the workload, but it was fine this morning and even better in the match.”
Inter had finished 4-1 winners at Cremonese. Samuel Eto’o grabbed a brace whilst Pazzini and Primavera player Marco Faraoni also scored.
