Pepe out of Juventus squad to face Lecce

Simone Pepe has not made the journey south for Juventus’ match against Lecce today, due to the flu. Juventus.com has reported the midfielder, who has seen his start to 2011 interrupted because of injury and now illness, will stay behind in Turin.
The Italian international joins Momo Sissoko on the sidelines, with the tough-tackling Malian serving a one-match ban due to reaching the yellow card limit. I Bianconeri do welcome back Armand Traore to the squad for the first time since January 23rd. The Old Lady will start with the same XI as last week’s crucial win against Inter.
Goal-hero last Sunday, Alessandro Matri noted the team’s confidence was high but they are wary of the Salentini, despite their lowly position on the ladder:
“At the moment, the side is motivated and morale is high. The air that we’re breathing couldn’t be better. We’ve confidence in our camp and a strong desire to get a result in Lecce”. Lecce are tough opposition despite their league situation not seeming too favourable.”
Lecce too, must deal with suspended players. Gustavo, Jeda and former Juventino Ruben Olivera, must sit out this match while Guillermo Giacomazzi has a two-week stop. Luigi De Canio will look to squeeze Juve in midfield with a 4-1-4-1 system led by the ever-reliable Davide Di Michele up front.
Possible starting XI’s:
Lecce (4-1-4-1): Rosati; Donati, Fabiano, Ferrario, Brivio; Vives; Munari, Grossmuller, Bertolacci, Piatti; Di Michele. Coach: De Canio.
Juventus (4-4-2): Buffon; Sorensen, Bonucci, Barzagli, Chiellini; Krasic, Aquilani, Melo, Marchisio; Matri, Toni. Coach: Delneri.
