Perrotta thinks Roma have a bright future under Luis Enrique

Simone Perrotta has backed new Roma manager Luis Enrique to deliver a new era of success at the Stadio Olimpico.
Speaking to Gazzetta Dello Sport on the club’s pre-season training camp in Austria the World Cup winner admitted that the atmosphere had changed for the better following last seasons turmoil.
The midfielder said: “the atmosphere is different, there is more enthusiasm, we want to turn the page and and open a new page in our history”.
Perrotta also hinted that the former Barcelona B coach would look to play passing football very much in the Barcelona style. The Roma veteran stated that Enrique prefers “possession with no long balls”.
The Italian international also commented that the training programme was different to what the squad was accustomed to but they were eager to take the new ideas on board:
“We hope to understand straight away what he asks, but it’s completely different to what we have done before and I’m not sure how long it take for us to get used to the new style because none of us have ever played this way.”
With Enrique looking to change the style of play Giallorossi supporters could be set to enjoy some attractive football when the new campaign kicks off. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
