Pinzi: Udinese destiny in our hands

Giampiero Pinzi has praised his Udinese teammates for their victory over Lazio in the Champions League showdown.
Antonio Di Natale scored a first half brace, but Lazio could not complete the comeback in the second half, as Mauro Zarate had his penalty saved before Libor Kozak did reduce the deficit.
The Zebrette have now overtaken the Roman side, sitting in fourth spot on 62 points. With the two capital clubs two points back, Pinzi realises the importance of yesterdays win.
“We have won the most important match of the season,” he told, “against a side who have been protagonists of an extraordinary championship. It was an intense match, we have a spectacular first half and in the second we suffered. We wanted to take the three points home at any cost and we have given everything to achieve this.”
Pinzi knows that with two matches remaining, Udinese have destiny in their own hands. They face Chievo next weekend as they continue in their bid to qualify for Europe’s premier club competition for the first time since 2005-06: “Fourth place? Nothing is settled yet, but it is all up to us now. Now we await the difficult match in Verona.”
Alongside Di Natale, Alexis Sanchez has been one of Udinese’s most important players this campaign and Pinzi was happy to see him make his return: “The return of Sanchez? He is very influential. Alexis is a vital player. With him on the field we find the right balance and can play our best football.”
“Patron [Giampaolo] Pozzo was very happy after the match, he offered us many compliments.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
