Pirlo’s emotional farewell to Milan emerges

The final moments of Andrea Pirlo’s A.C. Milan career were caught on tape last week as he said goodbye to the friends and teammates of a decade.
Veteran striker Filippo Inzaghi is sure Milan will miss Pirlo: “Everyone knows what Andrea has given to this club and we will all miss him, but this is life and we must accept these things.”
In a touching sentiment from Adriano Galliani he said that of Pirlo: “He will never be an opponnet”.
With tears visibly rolling down the cheek of World Cup winner Pirlo, it brings to an end a period in his career in which he established himself both domestically and internationally.
While fellow veterans Alessandro Nesta, and the aforementioned Inzaghi have extended their stay with the Rossoneri by a year, Pirlo looks likely to move to Juventus after a more than generous contract offer.
At 32 years of age this is likely to be his last major move so the chance to try a new league may appeal to him.
Reports of a move to Chelsea now seem unlikely following the untimely departure of his former manager at Milan Carlo Ancelotti.
