Prandelli likely to drop Balotelli and De Rossi

Italy Coach Cesare Prandelli looks set to drop Mario Balotelli and Daniele De Rossi from the Azzurri’s friendly game against Slovenia after the two players ran into disciplinary trouble with their respective clubs.
Prandelli is well known around the peninsula for being a proponent of fair play and upon taking over the reins of La Nazionale, the former Fiorentina Coach installed a ‘code of ethics’ for his players.
Corriere Dello Sport reports that the actions of Balotelli and De Rossi have not gone unnoticed by Prandelli and they are likely to be censured for their unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Azzurri vice-captain De Rossi was banned by UEFA for three Champions League games this week after being found guilty of intentionally elbowing Darijo Srna in the face during Roma’s CL tie against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Balotelli on the other hand, saw red in Manchester City’s UEFA Europa League tie with Dynamo Kyiv as his high challenge caught Goran Popov in the chest and then on the thigh.
