Quagliarella heartbroken by injury

Fabio Quagliarella was visibly upset when reflecting on the injury that has ruled him out for the remainder of the season.
The Juventus frontman sustained a snapped knee ligament during the opening exchanges of the Old Lady’s humiliating 4-1 loss at home to Parma on Thursday afternoon.
The injury is set to keep the Italian international on the sidelines for around six months and the club have already moved quickly to soften the blow of his absence by bringing in striker Luca Toni from Genoa.
Speaking to Tuttosport, a heartbroken Quagliarella said: “I am so very upset at having to leave Juventus at this moment.
“It’s so painful to stop right when I was getting to my peak. It feels like I was cut off in my prime, but I will do everything I can to come back even stronger.”

Juve have also been linked with Uruguayan star Diego Forlan and Fiorentina’s wantaway forward Adrian Mutu as a further replacement for the 27-year-old.
Meanwhile, the same publication is reporting that the club have handed Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo a €150,000 fine as way of punishment for his red card during the Parma encounter.
Melo was dismissed for kicking Massimo Paci in the face and as a result has been banned for three matches.
