Quagliarella pushes Juve to bid for Rossi

Fabio Quagliarella has urged his new team to sign Villarreal’s Giuseppe Rossi even though it may provide extra competition for him.
The former Napoli player has been open in his admiration for Rossi and wants ‘The Old Lady’ to signal their intent in the transfer market.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia he said: “The arrival of a top player in attack like Rossi? I am at Juventus and it is normal that there are champions who will arrive here. If he comes then we will welcome him with open arms.”
Quagliarella arrived at Juventus on loan at the beginning of the season from Napoli and performed well scoring 9 times in 17 appearances. This was enough for Juventus to move to make him a permanent fixture in Turin and he is now ready for the new season.
The former Udinese hit-man also had a cheeky final comment for both his new team and Rossi in which he let them both know how capable he is:
“Until January last season, we were the top scorers in the league, and so we are not light-weight up front.”
Incidentally, Quagliarella injured the cruciate ligament in his knee against Parma in January which effectively ended his season.
