Ranieri keen not to blame Milito

Inter Coach Cluadio Ranieri was keen not to place too much of a blame on his forward Diego Milito as he failed to convert crucial chances in last nights Champions League defeat at the hands of Russia’s CSKA Moscow.
Inter began their group stage campaign as they started – with a home defeat – but this still did not stop the Nerazzurri claiming the prized first position in the group.
Coach Claudio Ranieri spoke to UEFA.Com after the match and mused about his sides position as they continue to struggle domestically. “We tried to win with all our might and created four of five good chances, and CSKA created the same. At the moment everything is going wrong, but I have can lay no blame on the team. We ran and fought for the whole match, but sometimes the ball doesn’t want to go in. It was the case for [Diego] Milito, for instance. We have to solve several problems – sometimes we look naive on the pitch – but I appreciated the way the team played tonight.
The former Juventus and Roma coach also went on to suggest his side must be judged properly at the end of the year. “Physically the squad is OK, our main issue is the psychological aspect. Now we must focus on the game against Fiorentina, then we’ll pass judgement at the end of the year.”
