Ranieri: “we have to be more incisive”

Roma coach Claudio Ranieri was left to ponder what might have been after his team fought out a battling 1-1 draw against Juventus in Turin on Saturday evening.
The Roman born tactician was full of praise for his squad but admitted to the Corriere Dello Sport that things could have been even better. He explained that: “this evening I have seen a team that wants to win, we have had lots of possession of the ball in the first-half but no real shots on their goal. After the break, the game has become more open and this is when we had to be more incisive and concrete”.
Roma fell behind to a wonderful strike from Vincenzo Iaquinta, set up by former Giallorossi favourite Alberto Aquilani, but drew level five minutes into first-half stoppage time through a Francesco Totti penalty. The result keeps the capital side in sixth place just a point behind the Bianconeri.
