Ranocchia asks Genoa for January reinforcements

Genoa defender Andrea Ranocchia has told the Gazzetta Dello Sport that his team needs to strengthen in January. The 22-year-old stated that: “We need three players in January to be fully competitive”.
It seems that his club President Enrico Preziosi, is already on the case and current Serie A champions Inter could provide the necessary goods for his January shopping.
Kenyan midfielder McDonald Mariga and young French striker Joathan Biabiany are names already on the Rossoblu’s radar and latest reports suggest that Preziosi is also targeting Italian full-back Davide Santon and Nigerian youngster Joel Chukwuna Obi as potential New Year signings.
If rumours are to be believed, the two clubs have already been in contact over several deals that could take place in the next transfer window.
Ranocchia is half owned by the Nerazzurri and looks set to be the long term replacement for Walter Samuel at the Giuseppe Meazza.
