Roma considering Rangers’ Bougherra

Roma are thinking about making a January bid for Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra as a replacement for Philippe Mexes, who looks likely to quit the club.
Mexes’ contract expires in the summer and after losing his place in Roma’s starting line-up last season, the French centre-back has been reluctant to extend his stay in the capital.
If he still hasn’t committed his future to Roma by the January transfer window, then the club will launch a bid for Bougherra to replace him.
The 24-year-old Algerian international could cost up to £8 million, which would be the only stumbling block if the Giallorossi decide to pursue the player.
He is also ineligible for the remainder of the Champions League, assuming Roma qualify for the knock-out stages, as he has already represented Rangers in the competition. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
