Roma full-back Cicinho set for Villarreal move

Roma’s Brazilian full-back Cicinho looks as though he is on his way to Spanish outfit Villarreal, with Spanish sports daily Marca reporting that the transfer will be a loan deal and will go through tomorrow.
Cicinho, who was loaned out to Sao Paolo last season, signed for the Giallorossi in 2007 and has made 54 appearances for the club scoring three goals. The Brazilian is no stranger to Spanish football having played for Real Madrid in the 2006-07 season. He is likely to welcome the move after Claudio Ranieri has shown him little playing time this term and at 30-years-old he is unlikely to want to sit on the bench.
Villarreal are reported to be paying 80% of the full backs salary and are desperate to get him as their own right-back Angel Lopez will miss the rest of the season due to tearing his cruciate ligament in his left knee. The Yellow Submarines sit third in La Liga although they trail league leaders Barcelona by 13 points.
The move will be see Cicinho move to his sixth club after also playing for Botafogo, Atlético Mineiro, Sao Paolo, Real Madrid and of course Roma.
During his Roma career he won the Supercoppa Italiana and the Coppa Italia in his time with the Giallorossi. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
