Tenacious Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has been plying his trade at the Roman capital for over ten years now and has become one of the world’s most reputed midfielders over this period.
He many not have won the most titles at Roma but his love for the capital club has helped him stay put despite interest shown by some of the top European clubs over the last few years.
De Rossi’s current contract ends this summer, exciting likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid. Amidst all this speculation, Roma director Bruno Conti told Radio Mana Mana, “De Rossi will stay at Roma, no doubt about it.”
Chelsea were rumoured to have been interested in the 28 year old in the past and Conti revealed a few details about this: “I would like to remind people of the following: Chelsea offered 70 million Euros for him, a lot of money then, but (club president at that time) Rosella Sensi turned it down.”
Roma are currently in talks of an extension but the Italian midfielder might see a move outside the Italian capital as a good option to obtain some silverware.
