Roma may sell Julio Baptista to Malaga

Itasportpress have reported that Spanish minnows Malaga are planning an audacious swoop to bring Roma’s Julio Baptista back to La Liga.
The Brazilian striker has never made the expected impact at the capital club after a €9 million move from Real Madrid in 2008. With Marco Borriello keeping him out of the team this season, Roma could recoup as much as €8 million from Malaga in January.
Baptista, 29, was one of Europe’s hottest prospects when Real signed him from Sevilla. His career at Roma hasn’t panned out as he would have liked, though, and Malaga are expected to table a bid for his services in the coming transfer window to help with their battle against relegation.
