Roma target Russian teenager

Lokomotiv Moscow’s young prodigy Alan Gatagov has emerged as a transfer target for Roma, who believe they can persuade him to move to Italy as he will be out of contract in the next few months.
The 19-year-old’s contract expires in April, and Gatagov is rated as one of Europe’s best young players. He first caught the eye playing for Russia’s under-21 side against their Italian counterparts in 2009, and Roma have been scouting him ever since.
The Russian press have reported that Roma have already made their move for the creative midfielder with a view to signing him in the January transfer window. Gatagov has supposedly been stalling on signing a new contract with Lokomotiv to attract interest from other European clubs, which has clearly worked.
Roma wouldn’t have to pay too much for the teenager because Lokomotiv wouldn’t be keen on losing him for free in April. If Roma can offload Julio Baptista to Malaga, which looks set to happen in the next few weeks, it would create room in their squad for Gatagov to arrive. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
