Roma’s trouble increase before derby day

Roma take on city rivals Lazio in the fierce Derby della Capitale on Sunday. Unfortunately for the Giallorossi the preparations for this hugely important game have been marred by a string on incidents.
The last two derbies have been won by Roma however, the build up to this match has been fraught with problems for Vincenzo Montella’s men especially after the elimination from the Champions League.
However, Montella, who took over from Claudio Ranieri only three weeks ago, maintains that the club can return to being the side they were earlier and rediscover their form against Lazio.
“A month ago we were all brilliant players so I don’t know why people are thinking differently now. Nobody goes out there to lose. We know what the atmosphere will be like and the fans should know we’ll be giving it our all.”
Earlier this week, Adriano left the club by mutual consent whilst there has also been a public spat between the coach and Marco Borriello over the issue of penalty taking in Francesco Totti’s absence.
Totti is also likely to miss the game through a groin injury and this will be a huge blow to Roma as they desperately need the reinforcements after their Champions League exit to Shakhtar Donetsk highlighted many frailties.
Lazio and Roma are desperately fighting it out for a Champions League spot, the Biancocelesti sit in third on 51 points while the Giallorossi are in sixth on 46 points. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
