Rome derby gets underway in the heat of a Roman riot

The Rome derby is always one of the most heated matches on the European football calendar but the addition of the civil unrest in the centre of the Italian capital this weekend ensured there was an extra element of pressure on the stretched authorities.
Sky Italia have reported the decision was taken for a strong and heavy police presence which ensured the match got underway without major disturbances.
However despite this success, in the build up the eagerly anticipated counter, Sky Italia also have claimed that some elements within the Lazio support housed in the Curva Nord of the Stadio Olimpico aired anti –Semitic chants.
There were concerns prior to the fixture that it may have had to be postponed due to the violent nature to the anti-capitalism protests that have exploded in the heart of the eternal city. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
