Rossi future at Palermo still uncertain

According to former Palermo sporting director Walter Sabatini, coach Delio Rossi is likely to leave the club at the end of the season.
Club president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that he will hold discussions with Rossi about his future at the conclusion of this campaign.
It is believed Zamparini is keen for Rossi to remain in his role, but Sabatini believes Rossi will walk away after being fired and then recalled already this year.
“I don’t think there is much chance in Rossi staying,” Sabatini told ReteRete24. “A cycle always has to come to an end. I believe that Delio and Zamparini will make different choices, but that is football.”
However, Sabatini, who is expected to work for the new regime at AS Roma, believes victory for Palermo over Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia later this month could cause a rethink.
“Victories can sometimes form a bond,” Sabatini added. “If Palermo win the Cup then perhaps they will reconsider, but I still don’t think they can continue to work together.”
Following Inter’s victory against Roma last night, it also confirmed Palermo’s participation in next season’s Europa League. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
