Rossi getting closer to Fiorentina return

Italian international Giuseppe Rossi is just weeks away from his Fiorentina debut after the striker completed his first few days of training in Florence without a hiccup.

Giuseppe Rossi

Rossi has been out of action since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament while playing for Villarreal in October 2011 and a series of setbacks has led to an 18-month spell on the sidelines.
His reputation nevertheless goes before him and despite being injured for the best part of two seasons The Viola took a gamble in January and spent €10m bringing him back to Italy.
For many fans in the European football betting world, Rossi’s arrival at Fiorentina could be just what the club need to secure Champions League football next season. With nine Serie A games still to play for Fiorentina need to pick up points to make third place.
They are currently three points off Milan with a fierce match in the San Siro lined up for two weeks time. Yet even a victory on the road may not be enough for Vincenzo Montella’s men and what they really need during the run-in is an added goalscorer to aid Stevan Jovetic.
Rossi, therefore, must perform immediately when he makes his Fiorentina debut. The club have no time to ease him in gently and Montella will throw him on with expectations of goals when the striker is fit enough to play later next month.
If his rehab and medical examinations back in the United States go well Serie A betting fans can expect to see Rossi in a purple shirt come mid April.
A Champions league finish is not outside the reach of this club but they do need help up front and Rossi, with his international experience and pedigree, is just the man to provide it. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
