Rossi happy to remain abroad

Italy striker Giuseppe Rossi has claimed that he is happy to continue playing for Villareal in Spain, and has no desire to cut short his career abroad in favour of a switch to Serie A.
Rossi scored Italy’s late equaliser last Wednesday as they drew with Germany, further increasing his ever-growing profile. He has been one of the stand-out stars this season in Spain as his goals have propelled Villareal to third.
The American-born player has been coveted by Italy’s top sides for some time now, but he has insisted that moving back to the country of his parents is not a priority.
He said: “Italy is my second home and I would like to go back there. But it’s not so important for me.
“Spain, England and Italy are all on the same level. The important thing is the project. What I want to do is play and win.
“I feel Italian even if my first language is American. I have matured a lot in the last year. I have learned to take responsibility off the pitch.”

Tottenham Hotspur had a bid of approximately £35m rejected for Rossi during the January transfer window, so should an Italian side try to sign him at the end of the season then they would have to finance a big-money move. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
